One of the salvation themes of the exhibition is the collection of many ivory-carved crosses. Many of the exhibits on the two floors are from Spanish artists.

The Quelinale Palace is actually the presidential palace of Italy. There are only a few policemen and guards outside. It is totally impossible to see such an important place. The Museum seems to be open on time. It's better to check the time before you go.
Art exhibits on rotation in these former stables. The curation often features lesser known Italian artists or time periods, and the places regularly attracts Romans looking for a bit of culture.

This building used to be the Papal stables but is now used to house special exhibitions. We saw an incredible exhibition of the Baroque painter Caravaggio in 2010. Check the schedule to see what might be on.
