About Trevi Fountain

Trevi Fountain is also called the "Maiden's Fountain". Actually, most people prefer to call it the "Wishing Well". It is one of the most exquisitely carved works of art in Rome, and a must-see for all visitors. The image of the seahorse in the fountain sculpture is vivid. It's violent expression symbolizes the vagaries of the ocean, and the fantasy of fate. People come here and use their left hands to throw coins over their right shoulders. This is done to show you will return to Rome and find romance. Whether this superstition is true or not, the coin throwing has already become inextricably linked with the fountain. Everyone loves to take pictures of themselves making a wish.

Rome is known as the capital of fountains. Roman fountains vary in size, shape, age and style. There are fountains in almost every large square or intersection. The most famous of more than 3,000 fountains is the Trevi fountain, which is located between the Venice Square and the Spanish Square. It is often called the Girl Fountain, the Wishing Fountain and the Wishing Pool. The fountain is the source of water for the Aglipa waterway built in the 15th century. Trevi means a fork in the road. There are three roads ahead that extend out. The main sculpture of the fountain is Neptune Trevi fountain, which was completed in 1762 and designed by Nicolas & Salvi. It took 30 years to complete. The theme of the fountain is the victory of Neptune in Roman mythology. The fountain is of Baroque style, beautiful appearance, rich decoration and strong three-dimensional sense. The whole fountain is magnificent, magnificent and clear. The fountain is set against the wall of the Duke of Poli, and the centre of the fountain is Nippler, the God of the sea. Nippler, standing in the middle of the sea shells, defies all living beings and wrinkled skirts, as true as it is. There are two horses under the sea god's feet, pulled by two men with fish tails, which respectively symbolize a calm and turbulent river. The one on the left is not tame, and the one on the right is gentle and easy-going, pulling behind the sea god as the background of the Triumph Gate in both directions. On the top of the background wall, there are four goddesses holding different artifacts, symbolizing the four seasons, designer Nicola & 183; Salvey's delicate and vivid depiction of each character is admirable, and the whole picture is magnificent and shocking, which is a rare fine work in fountain works.

One day after Rome's rampage, the wish pool and Spanish Square in Rome were repaired, leaving some regrets. This time, they all enjoyed a lot of pleasure. Whether from the architectural style or the color matching, the city of Rome was presented to us like a work of art.

Tips for self-service tour to Rome: Make sure you buy 48 hours pass in Rome (28 euros), any public transport, free tickets for the first scenic spot, such as the ticket for the Colosseum is 119 yuan, which is super practical. Another came to the pool of wishes in front of the legendary Roman Pantheon. Unfortunately, it is no longer allowed to throw coins, but it still can not prevent the throwing of roses. I believe that a pair of wishes coming here should be all kinds of good things.

One of the attractions of a trip to Rome is one of the places where the famous film "Roman Holiday" was shot. There are so many people in the wishing pool that they can't take pictures of nobody. If they want to take pictures of people, they will be surrounded by people. If you cut people off, you cut yourself off. No matter how many people there are, throw a coin and make a wish.
