Ruijin Photo

About Ruijin: Ruijin is located in the southern stretch of the Wuyi Mountains. It has a long history, including Han era tombs and ancient kilns and Ming and Qing dynasty architecture. Ruijin is famous domestically and abroad as a former “red” capital. The Communist Party Central Committee was based here during the Chinese Soviet period and the temporary government of the Chinese Soviet Republic (also known as the “Jiangxi Soviet”) was formed here. This was also the starting point of the 5,600-mile Long March. Today, it is a national base of patriotism and education in the revolutionary tradition and an important “red tourism” destination in China.
