From Waarun, you can take a boat along the river and see the big Buddha statue. 1200 baht, although it's a little expensive, but the wooden buildings along the river contain the lives of the residents. Although it's not the beautiful appearance we want, I think it's not bad to see something a little realistic than just looking at something gorgeous and good.

In some places, rivers look more like canals. Pollution, garbage in the water, old wooden houses can be seen everywhere. There are also some river markets. Frankly, these rivers are far from meeting the standards of the Amsterdam or St Petersburg canals. River markets are very common in Africa and parts of Asia. I was interested in canals when I first saw floating markets in the 1980s. But now, I have gone to so many places that I think it is no longer interesting.
The Canal is not only an important tourist attraction in Thailand, but also a daily way of transportation and lifestyle of Thai people. Walking along the Canal, you can see many buildings with Siam style, which are very exotic.
There are many restaurants along the canal to choose from.
After a study of the site map, I was surprised to find that it was just across the whole business district, and the dock landed (11B/2.5 yuan) was very convenient. In about 10 minutes, a willow-shaped wooden boat arrived, carrying 30,40 people. Because the river is fairly straight and the boatman is already familiar with it, the boat is very fast, splashing a lot of waves all the way, which can pull up the rain curtain to cover it. The crew walks up and down the outside pedal to sell tickets and observe the voyage (also by paying consciously). Many wooden boats shuttle back and forth, with many passengers coming and going from each dock along the way.
There are many traffic boats on the Mekonan River in Bangkok. They are not only the patents of tourists, but also the important means of transportation for local people. The boats on the canal are cheap, convenient and beautiful. There is a station at each section. Buying good tickets at the station is like waiting for a bus. You must try it.
