JACKSON’S travel world
I had heard Stonehenge was small but it's not! It is beautiful and awe inspiring. Knowing these stones were placed here so long ago and no one knows how or why. I loved just walking around the stones and reading all the information. Plan on spending at least 2 hours here. #wintergetaway
Stonehenge is located on the plains of Salisbury, southeast of Bath, England. It was built in about 4000-2000 B.C. In 1130, a British priest happened upon Stonehenge when he was out walking. The magnificent stones each weigh nearly 30 tons on average, and their arrangement and intended use still largely remains a mystery.
