Roscrollsburg National Cemetery (Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery) On the way to the Lomajun Peninsula, pass a cemetery along the way, called Roscrollsburg National Cemetery (Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery). There are about a thousand gravestones, many of the veterans who participated in World War II sleep here, and these comrades are neatly lined up and always gathered together. It is a high social honor to be a soldier in the United States, and one of the treatment is that the veterans can be buried in the national cemetery after their death. In the national cemetery, whether general or soldier, is a marble headstone of the same size, the headstone is neatly arranged like an array of troops being reviewed, solemn and sacred, shocking. The cemetery is very clean and tidy, the grass is green, the headstone is white, and the flag is flying. The cemetery is open every day, and many families and citizens can be seen carrying flowers to remember the hanging. The Roscrollsburg National Cemetery on the hillside faces the US military base on Colorado Island, which is probably also part of the base.

Such a beautiful setting for a cemetery, and a real honor to have your loved one buried there.
Great place for beautiful views. My father is buried there. Unusual but A must place to see
Puts the soul in proper perspective for those who defend our country's way of being
Fort Rosecrans (named in honor of a Union General during the American Civil War) Cemetery was named an American Army Cemetery in 1860. During the 20th Century it became a National Military Cemetery honoring all veterans who have served in the American Military. It's located on Cabrillo Memorial Drive right before you get to the Cabrillo National Monument. For those who visit, it's a very moving experience as these pictures would indicate.
