We came here on a visit to San Francisco as it was close to our hotel and had good reviews. It more than lived up to our expectations as the whole experience was excellent. John (owner and chef) made us feel so at home throughout the meal and the food really was excellent. Our steak was taking longer than expected to make, so john bought out a complementary salad as an apology (it hadn't really been that long either!). During the meal, I asked John where we should go and eat and he gave a few suggestions. When we were leaving, he had printed out a page for each of his selections and annotated with what he recommended eating! Along with the great and friendly service, the food was some of the best we had during our 3 week USA trip and we really couldn't fault it. This restaurant is well worth a visit!
