This is a division of the Canary Institute for Astrophysical Research in La Palma, in the Canary Islands, Spain. The main astronomical observatory has several of the world's more famous experimental groups of 26 countries. They include groups of MAGIC Telescopes , Gran Telescopio Canarias and Telescoplo Nazionale Galileo with a history of 15 years. There are about a dozen optical telescopes with the largest diameter of 10.4 meters in the world (China is building a larger optical telescope that will exceed it), the world's largest gamma-ray telescope (MAGIC group is under construction). There are also their centers of life and control. This is a national park, open to the public, a large range, no tickets, but you need to make an appointment in advance for parking, otherwise you cannot enter.
