Yazhou Bay

Yázhu Wn is a bay in the southwest of Sanya City, Hainan Province. The bay area is about 61 square kilometers. The bay is topped by the Ningyuan River and the estuary area has the cliff city, which is the place of ancient Yazhou. The bay is therefore named. Yazhou Bay is an important ancient cultural site in Hainan. Yazhou Bay (Da Nang) has been the southernmost port of commerce in China, and is an important harbor for the departure and supply of the ancient Maritime Silk Road in China.

It takes only one hour to walk along a small road (across a highway). For example, it takes about 6 kilometers to drive around and 15 yuan to ride a tricycle (two people can ride) in Yacheng. Migratory birds who spend their holidays there in winter can visit Yazhou Bay every day, and we often go there to play. Yazhou Bay is about 4 kilometers from Nanshan Port to Ningyuan River estuary. We walked through it. Migratory birds are seen catching crabs, digging sea melon seeds, fishing, netting, and sitting in a beach tent for a whole day. Yazhou Bay is also a good place to take pictures of wedding gowns. There are many props for photography on the beach. As Yazhou Bay is currently in the stage of development, it is not a tourist attraction, and the sea water and the beach are a little dirty. Especially when the tide is high and then ebb, the beach is full of rubbish, which has not been cleaned for a long time. Maybe it is necessary to wait until the next high tide to know where to wash the rubbish again. When we went back in February 2016, we saw that there had been some improvement. The phenomenon of sewage discharging into the sea was invisible on the surface, but on the whole, the water in Yazhou Bay was still dirty.

But it is Hainan Island, the birthplace of Sanya's history and culture. It is a cultural coordinate that records the ancient land and sea of China. It witnesses and bears a heavy and irreplaceable polar history and culture. In the past 2000 years, Yazhou Bay has been the southernmost trading port in China, and it is an important harbor for the departure and supply of the ancient maritime Silk Road in China. Nowadays, Yazhou Bay is quiet. Few tourists come to visit it. They can visit the "Dayun Temple" site with their hearts in suspense. They can chase the footprints of Huangdaobao landing from Yazhou Bay when she comes, and leaving Yazhou Bay when she returns. In the quiet and spacious Yazhou Bay, sitting on private beach for more than 1000 meters, the sunset Yazhou Bay must not be missed in the evening. The "Moon Bend Sunset" is one of the eight ancient sceneries in Yazhou.
