Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art is not allowed to take pictures inside. The outside looks very attractive. I admit that we are attracted by the outside. We spent a lot of money on admission tickets. There is also a cafe inside. It's also a good choice to sit for an afternoon.
Staying in Sapporo on the weekend, I went to Daoli Museum of Modern Art on rainy days. The location of the Museum was very easy to find. Just across the land from the Governor's Mansion, there were buses arriving. I spent most of the day with my children in the Museum, which was both rain shelter and leisure.
The pure white Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art has a modern and avant-garde architectural appearance, and many decorative works of art are placed on the outdoor green space. The Gallery exhibits the works of Parisian painters, as well as the sculptures and paintings of artists from Hokkaido. Special exhibitions are not held regularly. The museum is located to the west of Datong Park.
Since its opening in 1977, Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art has held many exhibitions, including "COLLECTION GALLERY (Permanent Exhibition)" and "Special Exhibition" of unique and colorful works at home and abroad. The Museum of Art mainly collects systematically the paintings and sculptures of artists with ties to Hokkaido, such as Kataoka Balls, Yanqiao Yingyuan, Kim Il-ro Muda, Risheng Kanda, etc.
This place is estimated to be less visited by ordinary tourists. There are many art exhibitions in it. People who like art can go to see it.
To the west of Sapporo Datong Park, the facade of the art gallery itself is quite designed. There are often themes on display here.
It's a good art gallery and the traffic is very convenient. There are so many works that you can see them all day.
