Seogwipo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Seongsan Ilchulbong Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Three days and two nights in Jeju Island
Jeju Island in the off-season is a paradise for self-healing
This time I stayed in Yayue Village
A place where you can see the sea and the lighthouse when you open the window
The day I arrived, my hat flew off as soon as I got out of the taxi without any precautions
Put down my luggage and take a walk nearby
The wind is so strong that I walk two meters and retreat three meters
Decided to eat barbecue in the nearest restaurant
After eating, I went back to the hotel and took a rest
Took the bus to Ilchul Peak to watch the sunset
Hahaha, yes, watching the sunset at Ilchul Peak
The wind was a bit smaller at this time
The weather is not so cold, very comfortable
Came when it was about to close, few people, equivalent to a private booking
In the evening, I went to a popular restaurant that is the same as the one in the love series
The dishes are indeed very fresh and the prices are quite affordable
The lobster ramen can be said to be the ramen of my life
So fresh that it's amazing!
The next day I slept until I woke up naturally, it was a cloudy day
There is sun, but not much
Find a coffee shop nearby and have a beautiful breakfast
Why say it's beautiful, it's literal
Beautiful scenery, beautiful food
Then I took the bus to the pier
Boarded the ship to Udo
Wow, the scenery is really good
Without an international driver's license, I could only rent an electric bicycle
It's not bad, it's not tiring at all
But we sat down at the first beach
Never got up again until the return trip
The dong of the jelly sea is the dong of heart
The seawater is really like jelly, duangduang
Sitting on the beach eating a fish cake
The soup base is actually made of kelp, another little surprise
In the evening, I went to the same barbecue omakase as the love series
The meat quality is definitely not as good as the one I ate the day before
The main thing is to experience the different tastes of different parts of the pig's body
The service is excellent, just open your mouth all the way
On the third day, I still slept until I woke up naturally
Went directly to Xiaocai Beach to eat at the same restaurant as Gong Liu and Lee Dong Wook
The seafood pancake is fragrant and crispy, very, very delicious
Other dishes did not leave a stunning feeling
Although it rained heavily this day
But the transparency of Xiaocai Beach is not inferior to Udo
I also met a magpie during the walk
This place is so comfortable, I want to stay for a few days next time
Jeju Travels

This is the view of Seongsan, also known as the Sunrise Peak. It is a UNESCO, World Natural Heritage Site. It is more accessible by car as buses are infrequent and the timings are unreliable. Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone rose 180 meters above sea level due to a magma flow under the sea over 5,000 years ago. The crater is about 600 meters in diameter and 90 meters deep. It takes around 50 minutes for a round trip up and down the mountain. However, it requires a fee to hike. The view from the free zone is also amazing! Worth it.
Jeju Island is a must-visit.
Jeju Island should be a very representative place for Korean tourism. Although Jeju Island is not very big, there are many interesting places. Here is a collection of attractions that I think are recommended and not recommended:
recommend:
Seongsan Ilchulbong: An excellent place overlooking the city and sea, and also a good place to enjoy the sunrise over the sea. If you come to play in spring, you can also see rapeseed flowers all over the mountains and plains, which is very good.
Niu Island: An outlying island with coral sand beaches, the sea water is rich in color and the water quality is very clear. It is recommended to drive around the island, or you can take the tourist cycle bus on the island.
The tiger never leaves: The filming location of "Love Wind, Love Song" and the large reed field along the way are very suitable for taking beautiful photos with strong autumn atmosphere.
Halla Mountain: Spring and autumn are the most suitable seasons for sightseeing. There are azaleas in spring and red leaves in autumn. If you go in winter, the mountains are mostly ice and snow roads, but they also have a special flavor.
The ground can be supported: one side is a cliff and the other is the ocean, and the path leading to the lighthouse is very beautiful.
Columnar joint belt: It is a spectacle formed by the high-temperature lava from volcanic eruptions meeting the icy sea water. The seaside scenery is beautiful, and fishermen and divers can be seen fishing from time to time.
Cherry Blossom Avenue: When the cherry blossoms bloom in early April every year, a cultural festival will be held here. The pink and white cherry blossoms are falling with the wind, which is super beautiful.
Not recommended
Hello Kitty Theme Park: Maybe girls or children will like it more, but there is no other place to play except for taking pictures, and I don’t have so many hearts, I think this place is not worth spending half a day Play.
Teddy Bear Museum: In the past, there was only one teddy bear museum in Jeju Island, and you could come and check in, but there are many museums of this type in the future, so it is not very interesting.
Believe it or not Museum: If I remember correctly, there seems to be a similar one in Thailand. We were bored after shopping for half an hour, so we could only take pictures inside.
Tiandizhou Waterfall: If you have seen many shocking waterfalls, you will feel quite disappointed when you see such a waterfall.
Longtouyan: It is already a must-see place for traveling in the country. In fact, the scenic spot is very small, and there are people everywhere who took pictures of this visit.
Nanta Show & Graffiti Show:
Whether this form of performance is worth watching, I think it is a matter of opinion, but I personally feel that I am not very able to get a laugh.
Seongsan Ilchulbong Sunrise Peak
Seongsan Ilchulbong#Seongsan Ilchulbong is one of the attraction that you must visit in Jeju Island, South Korea. It is known as "Sunrise Peak" and is a UNESCO world heritage site.
This place is known for its magnificent sunrise view. Seonsan Ilchulbong rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago.
If you are in Jeju and wants to catch the Sunrise, do check the sunrise timing and plan your itinerary in advance and your set off time.
To hike to the peak, it will take roughly about 20 to 30mins. Although you are setting off in the early morning, there is no need to worry about the hiking route. The hike up is mainly steps and there is well-managed walking path.
We travelled during the winter season and it was manageable. However do bring along your jacket as the hike up could be rather chilly.
However, we are rather unlucky due to the cloudy day but it was still a good workout. After you are done with peak, the way down there was also many scenic view for photo taking.
Overall, it is a must-visit place at Jeju!

Osulloc Tea Musuem: Heaven for matcha lovers!
📍Osulloc Tea Museum, Jeju
LOVE THE MATCHA SLUSHIE! (must try) they do sell a set that comes with a matcha roll, matcha soft serve and matcha slushie (also topped with soft serve). The drink was smooth, matcha taste was strong and not diluted, best off the menu! As for the roll cake, preferred the hallabong flavoured one! (give this a try too! the hint of tangerine brings out the flavour of the cake)
After having your desserts, head over to the store to stock up on some matcha snacks, green tea AND DONT MISS THE GREEN TEA MILK SPREAD. Goes well with crackers or plain bread!

Jeju Island is too strong, I will go again
Jeju Island in South Korea implements a visa-free entry policy for China
But visa-free does not mean unconditional entry.
People with unclear travel purposes will be denied entry.
Therefore, be sure to prepare the following materials before traveling,
for quick entry:
1️⃣ Passport valid for more than six months
2️⃣ Round-trip ticket itinerary
3️⃣ Set up a travel plan (can increase the chance of smooth entry, friends who can't make a plan can message si to little YOUNG in the background)
4️⃣ The name and contact information of Chinese or Koreans living in Jeju Island, travel agencies, etc., personal travel provides the contact information of the hotel/reception staff
⚠️
Jeju Island uses German plugs
Hotels generally do not provide conversion plugs, so remember to bring conversion plugs. And Jeju Island has not popularized shared power banks
So if you need it, prepare a power bank.
❣️
Jeju Island city is more commercial,
You can use Alipay, WeChat, UnionPay and VISA. But many small shops around the attractions can only accept cash, so you also need to prepare enough Korean won
1. About the phone card
It is recommended to purchase a Korean traffic card and open the domestic mobile phone roaming function (very important! Otherwise, you cannot receive text messages and make calls. Then you can use the domestic mobile phone number to verify the information and register the taxi app as soon as you land)
Translation software: papago, very easy to use!
You can dialogue, you can text to speech, you can recognize pictures
❣️
The following are must-visit attractions:
1️⃣ Udo Udo
2️⃣ Seongsan Ilchulbong Seongsan Ilchulbong
3️⃣ Hallasan National Park Hallasan National Park
4️⃣ Columnar Jointing Zone Columnar Jointing Zone

Great Ocean Escapade at Seopjikoji!
📍Seopjikoji, Coast of Jeju
GREAT VIEWS. It started snowing that day in Jeju but that didnt stop us from visiting this beautiful place. While driving towards Seopjikoji we chanced upon a stone statue and stopped for photos!
Seopjikoji itself was like a fairytale come true, with cottage huts up the hills, and rocks that resembled a turtle and also the beautiful waves😭 will definitely revisit and you should too!

Seopjikoji is near Seongsan illchubong so it’s worth to head here if you are driving. It is another beautiful coastal hike that’s famous for its canola flowers during spring.
We came here during sunset and was in awe by the colours in the sky that quickly went away.
This hike is probably one of the easiest in my entire trip in Jeju.
Unlike the other mountains/hills in Jeju, this one is made of red volcanic ash.

Shinhwa Theme Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Shinhwa Theme Park is unique in many ways. First, it tries to make its own characters seems as popular as Mickey Mouse and Spider Man - it doesn’t work but it’s great fun just trying to figure out who is who. Second, everything seems brand new - so it’s spotless and at the same standards as a Disneyland or Universal Studios. Third - the rides are small but oh so knock out fun. And there is rarely anyone there.
#GiveThanks
Shinhwa Theme Park
Shinhwa Theme Park is filled with characters from a Korean animated show. It is beside the water park a nearby a hotel. Families will definitely have a great time here but as a 21 year old, I enjoyed it too. Entrance to walk in the park is completely FREE but there are tickets to be purchased if you want to ride on the rides. A single ride costs 6000won, 3 rides costs 17,000won and unlimited rides costs 30,000won.
In my opinion, it was definitely a fun experience as there are rides more for adults like the Flying Wheel and Oscar’s Spin’n Bump. There are also more chill rides for the kids if they cant take the fast rides. For some rides, the staff will sing a song with the music that is playing which I found it quite cute.
About play:
Korea Island Mythology World
This is a newly opened theme park, divided into three areas, Oscar World, Laughing Bug Adventure Village, and the port of vision.
is a huge rock standing on the eastern end of Jeju Island. It is one of the 360 sub-volcanoes of Halla Mountain and the world's largest crater that protrudes from the coast.
Chengshan Sunrise Peak is a prairie with an idyllic and beautiful view. The reason why it is called Sunrise Peak is because the sunrise here is particularly beautiful.
Maze
Jining Labyrinth Park is located in the old Zuojiao Wanzhang Grotto Street, Jeju City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea. It is located between the famous scenic spots Wanzhang Grottoes and Jinning Temple Caves.
About accommodation
The hotel I chose is the Marriott Jeju Shinhwa World Hotel
This hotel is among the mythical world theme parks in Jeju Island. One of the high-end hotels is also the only Marriott hotel in Jeju Island. The hotel's facilities are quite perfect, and it is very convenient to eat, live, travel, play, shop, etc.
About shopping
Of course, coming to Korea must be bought and bought.
There are a lot of people going to Jeju Island to go shopping, and the Marriott hotel has a large duty-free shop on the first floor. It is full of variety and variety. I believe that for many people who like shopping, It is a place of paradise.
Here you can interact with well-known cartoon characters, let the rich and varied entertainment facilities take you back to the happy world of childhood, and explore the wonderful folk myths together!
This is made up of the jungle and the remains of the ancient city. Visiting partners, or step into the original forest to explore the remains of the ancient city, or cross the forest canopy, or explore the hidden mysterious rooms of the temple, or to restore the ideal world. A hearty battle!

Teddy Bear Museum
#wheretogo
Visiting the Teddy Bear Museum was my childhood dreams and now that I am a big kid, it felt great to finally earn some money and checked it off my list.
Though I would say times and interest has changed, but I will never regretted coming to Jeju to see it.
Teddy Bear Museum as the name says, is a museum full of unique teddy bears from different countries and age. It was quite fun to see so many teddy bears gathered and dressed up for different occasions.
At the end of the journey there is a souvenir store, which shockingly still sells the same merchandise my aunt bought for me as a kid.
Teddies everywhere
