Soong Ching Ling Cemetery is located in downtown Shanghai, not far from the Xujiahui business district. It is the place where Soong Ching Ling, the honorary chairman of the country and the mother of the country, rests. The Soong Ching Ling Mausoleum has a quiet environment and a forest of pines and cypresses. Once you enter the gate of Song Yuan Road, it is a straight road leading to the depths. Walking straight along the road, you will first see the monument with the inscription, "Comrade Soong Ching Ling will be immortal". Continue to go inside, to the right is the tomb area, you can see the statue of Soong Ching Ling sitting deep in the pine and cypress from a distance. Behind the statue is Song's cemetery, in the middle is the joint tomb of Soong Ching Ling's parents Song Yaoru and Ni Guizhen, on the east side is Soong Ching Ling's tomb, and on the west side is the tomb of Ms. Li Yan'e, the nanny who accompanied Soong Ching Ling for more than 50 years. The predecessor of Soong Ching Ling Cemetery was Shanghai Wanguo Cemetery, so on the east side of Song's Cemetery, you can see a foreign cemetery, where more than 600 foreigners from all over the world are buried here, including Lu Xun's Japanese friend Uchiyama Wanzao The couple, Soong Ching Ling's American girlfriend Geng Lishu, etc., can also see the original burial place of Mr. Lu Xun (now relocated to Shanghai Lu Xun Park). On the northwest side of the park is the Celebrity Cemetery, where anti-Japanese hero Xie Jinyuan, "Father of San Mao" Zhang Leping, Peking Opera master Zhou Xinfang, oil painter Chen Yifei and other famous people are buried. Adjacent to the Celebrity Cemetery is the Soong Ching Ling Memorial Hall, where you can see Soong Ching Ling's pens, glasses, typewriters, clothes she once wore, as well as her handwritten letters and precious photos with Sun Yat-sen and others. There are also short documentaries here. And various pictures and texts, telling the story of Soong Ching Ling's life. If you come with children, you can also visit the Children's Museum in the southeast corner of the park. There are mainly a variety of popular science exhibitions and toy exhibitions. It was built to realize Soong Ching Ling's wish to "give precious things to children" and become part of the cemetery.
The Soong Ching Ling Memorial Hall is located in Changning District, Shanghai. From the entrance of No. 21 Songyuan Road, visitors wearing slippers or shoes need to wear disposable shoe covers to enter the door. There is a Soong Ching Ling Monument at the east end of the main road, and the Soong Ching Ling Life Showroom at the end of the main road. The whole courtyard is densely vegetationd and full of solemn atmosphere.
I brought my children here for the Maitao event. It was free. I went around in the garden and there were 2 exhibition halls. There are very few people, like the general cemetery, there are many greening, there are more pigeons here, you can bring rice to feed the pigeons to the children.
