Shantou Museum

Shantou Museum is located at the junction of Yuemei Road and Handi Road in Jinping District, Shantou City (backed by the northwest corner of Shantou Zhongshan Park), built in 1960, opened to the public in 2004. It is a comprehensive museum, the main collection of cultural relics and specimens in Chaoshan District, publicity and educational institutions and scientific research institutions, and also the patriotic education base and youth education service base in Shantou.

Shantou Museum is a national three-level museum, which has collected more than 12,000 cultural relics and collections such as ceramics, calligraphy and paintings, bronzeware, jade, gold lacquer wood carvings and other cultural relics since the Neolithic era, of which more than 3,000 precious cultural relics above the third level have been precious. The number of precious cultural relics ranks among the top in the provincial and municipal museums! On the third floor, Tibetan Buddhism is now on display. The various Buddhist statues and Buddhist stories are also worth seeing.
