Japan's Kagawa 🌿 Shodoshima Island 🧹 discovers a dreamy paradise.
Tokyo's cherry blossoms are almost gone 🌸
Over the weekend, I quickly took my mother on a plane to Kagawa.
For me this year, compared to the cherry blossoms of spring, the art islands of the Seto Inland Sea are more attractive.
Haven't seen my mom for three years, want to take her for a stroll on a small island!
Shodoshima is a small island that I really love. It is covered with green olive trees and is the filming location for Miyazaki's "Kiki's Delivery Service" and the anime "Takagi-san". Being there feels like walking in a fairy tale.
Went to see the thousand-year-old olive tree 🫒, the green mailbox 📮, the white windmill 🤍, and the 400-year-old heritage of Yamaloku soy sauce 🧉.
I also went to the super fun Monster Art Museum and the Kabuki stage in the village that was like a paradise outside the world!
Inside the Monster Art Museum, in addition to traditional monster displays, there is also a modern monster design competition hosted. Currently in its sixth year, the museum showcases many well-designed modern monsters created by contemporary artists, reflecting their attitudes towards modern life.
For example, there are monsters that protect the environment~ monsters that specialize in giving likes to people~ monsters that only eat people who have been staring at their phones on the subway [meow meow]~ and monsters that are silly and point the way at the entrance of the art museum! I recommend everyone to go and play~
The Kabuki stage (P1, P11) also has a history of 300 years!
It is said that the villagers of Shodoshima went to travel in Osaka at that time.
(🌟Osaka is a super fashion capital in their hearts)
After seeing a Kabuki performance and finding it particularly exciting, we decided to put on our own in the village. The villagers worked together to build a stage for the performance, with the audience sitting on the grass and watching the Kabuki show in an old house. This tradition has been passed down from generation to generation. The next performance is said to be on May 3rd, so if you're interested, you can go and see it!
My mom had a great time, so I'm happy too! Took her to my favorite little island~ Met my friends on the island and saw the island life. Thanks to my mom for taking so many beautiful photos for me, haha.
Everyone, remember to spend more time with your parents on your days off, take them out to play if you have the time.

Olive Park is a must-see attraction in Japan's four-country small bean island. The most distinctive feature of the park is the white windmill. It is a scene-finding place for the famous Japanese movie witch house. Tourists have no riding a flying broom in it to punch in. The popularity is extremely strong.
If you have to have a parent-child tour in the Seto Inner Sea, Xiaodou Island is the most suitable island. It is located in the Seto Inner Sea in the four countries. It is the birthplace of olive cultivation in Japan. The "Xiaodou Island Olive Park" on the island allows tourists to experience the history of olive cultivation and taste olive oil cuisine. Whether it is simply sightseeing and taking pictures, or a relaxing experience, it is very suitable. 🌟 Highlights: Xiaodou Island is the first attraction, naturally the windmill facing the sea in Olive Park. After all, you can shoot the Miyazaki Witch House in a hurry. What you see is that our three jumps are so neat and tidy behind the back. You can't see that there is always such a person who is dragging his legs and punishing her to sweep the floor.🧹🚉 Traffic Raiders: Takamatsu to the small dou island boat is also the most small dou island although called small dou, but the area is much larger. There are three ports: Tuzhuang, Ikeda, Grass Wall. Every port has a bus to take. There are not many shifts. Don’t expect to hike. Unless you want to break your leg. May is already very dry. I am really worried about people who come in August.
Olive Park is in the center of Xiaodou Island. The whole park is Mediterranean style, backed by mountains and facing the sea. I had a Mediterranean lunch at the restaurant on the second floor of the Park Exhibition Hall. I saw the sea view and bought a variety of olive products downstairs.
The windmills and cat brooms of the olive grove immediately brought people into the magical world, the olive grove is also a magical presence on the island, the olive ice cream is delicious, there are many local products, including various types of olive sauce and olive oil as a souvenir
From Takamatsu by boat to Kodoshima Tuzhuang Port, there is a bus to Olive Park by the pier. Because the trains are separated for a long time, you need to get a timetable at the service center. Olive Park is not big, it is a shooting place for the witch's house to be rushed, there is a broom to provide, you can take jump photos as a prop. Specialty olive products, olive chocolate and candy are sold in the park, not elsewhere. The park restaurant also offers food made from olive oil, which is not expensive and needs to be queued for weekend meals.
Very good place, worth a visit, very good, very good!
There are several cute shops and many photo spots, so please come with plenty of time. The Seto Inland Sea seen on a sunny day is a superb view.
