Compared to Orchard Road, I personally prefer places like Bugis Street, which have a strong local flavor. There are many specialty shops to visit. When you are tired, you can find an authentic Singaporean snack shop to eat. It is very pleasant.
Bugis Street is a great place for shopping for those who come to Singapore. It has a wide variety of delicious and fun things, as well as Taobao junk. It is like the Singaporean version of Shenzhen's Dongmen.
I walked around Bugis Street early in the morning. Although most of the shops were not open yet, I really like to walk around places like this. The shops are connected one after another. I think it is much more interesting than Orchard Road.
A good place to sweep bargains, similar to Hong Kong's women's street, where you can buy a variety of specialty letters in Singapore at a fair price. There are also many fashionable clothes, shoes, bags from China, South Korea, Taiwan.
Convenient transportation, eating nearby is quite a lot, equivalent to Singapore's "Little Arabia". Upstairs of the subway station is a small shopping mall. You can visit many specialty shops. There are a lot of food on the first floor. It is very cost-effective when discounted. There is also a bugis juction behind which many small shops have clothes that are quite cheap.
The price is also OK, tried different food, the longest queue is this dessert, 1.6 SGD, the amount is large, the taste is good, everyone speaks Chinese
Small goods street, but buy drinks inside is slightly cheaper than outside, one dollar of SGD can buy a cup, it is fair, this street is crowded, but after crossing the street, there is no cave, there is a food court, there is a lot of food inside and cheaper than the outside commercial building
Come to Singapore to buy cheap Singapore souvenirs, you can come to Bugis Street ( Bugis Street) market. From Bugis subway station, you can see this market without air conditioning. There are about 400 shops inside, very dense and stuffy. There are small shops on both sides of the narrow shopping street, with a wide variety of goods and a wide variety of local snacks. On one side of the market there is a snack street selling civilian food. Western travelers prefer to go to places where locals live, where they feel they can experience the true Singaporean culture.
