Shenyang Finance Museum

Shenyang Financial Museum is located in downtown Shenyang, to the east of Zhang Xueliang's former residence. It is a magnificent imitation Roman-style building and the former site of Bianye Bank. The museum displays various ancient Chinese currencies and currencies from various countries around the world, showing the development process of the Northeast's financial industry. It also reproduces the prosperity of the bank business hall with wax figures of characters, which is very interesting. When you walk into the museum, you feel like you have traveled back to the 1930s. The hall is full of people, some are talking, some are saving money, and it is a lively scene. These are wax figures wearing costumes from the Republic of China period, which reflect the lifelike scenes of bank business in those days. You can also be part of the "crowd" and take photos. Go through the hall and enter the President's Office Restoration Showroom. From here, you can visit each showroom in turn. Each exhibition hall displays various physical currencies from the Warring States Period, the Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China period and modern times. You can also see currencies from all over the world and specialized metal coins. There is also an exhibition of RMB and counterfeit coins to teach you how to identify counterfeit coins. The last exhibition hall is decorated as a simulated stock exchange, allowing you to experience the feeling of being in a financial center. In addition to the currency display, each exhibition hall also uses rich pictures and texts to let you understand the development process of Northeast China's financial industry and China's securities industry. The order of the exhibition halls is basically one-way, and the internal layout of the building is a bit complicated.
