This is still a great place for a walk (being that I’m not too fit)I walk down to the weir which is down a path bout 100m to the right of the house (You can’t miss it). It’s quite steep but manageable on foot. One thing that is not welcome, is the quantity of Rats by the duck pond. At one stage we saw 5 young ones at the same time. This needs sorting - blaming it non people feeding the ducks won’t really wash!

Woodbank Memorial Park is a memorial park, so it will be dissolved in the introduction exhibition, it is worth seeing, the pictures and texts are more suitable for better understanding of the local history and culture, the scenery is beautiful, the lawn is particularly fertile...
Woodbank Memorial Park is a large green space not far from Stockport city centre, with Vernon Park on one side and open countryside on the other. The river flows through the park, the upper half of which is popular with local walkers and joggers, and there is a playground, a natural scenic spot.
Great park area, all gated off, but this is mainly for older children and not babies.
