The hometown of King Xiang is the first Xiang family ancestral hall in China with the theme of Xiang Yu and Xiang family culture. The internal architecture is mainly centered on the Han style of the Chu region, combined with certain palace and garden architecture. Being in the scenic spot, it instantly gives people a feeling of passing through history. The ancient city is covered with blue tiles and is majestic. The palaces and gardens have their own charms, showing the history of Xiang Yu at different stages, perfectly presenting the ancient city of Xichu, one person, one family and one ancient country. The scenic area is mainly composed of more than 10 scenic spots such as the ancient city gate, Xiangfu, Yingfeng Pavilion, Xiangwang hand planted Huai, Xiangjia ancestral hall, Xiang Yu's former residence, and in the ancient city, in addition to visiting scenic spots, you can't miss the various implications. Additional Information

Introduction

The Ancestral Home of Xiang Wang is located beneath Xuhai Road's former Yellow River dyke in the southern suburbs of the city. It is the birthplace of Xiang Yu, the one-time overlord of the Western Chu. The descendants of Xiang Wang once set up a monument as a memorial to their ancestor but it was later destroyed during a period of turmoil. In 1935, the Yingfeng and Huai'an Pavilions were built. The Ancestral Home of Xiang Wang is surrounded on all four sides by "Commissioner"-type walls. From south to north the buildings and structures include a stone paifang, stone watchtower, great gate, the Yingfeng Pavilion and a room memorializing Xiang Wang. The Yingfeng Pavilion—one of the primary structures—has a statue of Xiang Yu. To either side of the main room in the Yingfeng Pavilion, there are displays of cultural relics. The memorial room is constructed to imitate dynastic Han architecture. A statue of Consort Yu can be found here.
