The Beitou Cultural Relics Museum is located on the hills of Youya Road and Beitou Hot Spring District in Beitou District, Taipei. It was formerly known as the Jiashan Hotel which was built in 1920 and is very famous in Beitou. The high-end hot spring hotel was the Japanese Military Officers Club during the Japanese occupation. In 1945, after the recovery of Taiwan, it became the military residence of the Beigen Museum and the Jiashan Guest House for official holidays. In the 1980s, Zhang Chunming founded the "House of Taiwanese Folk Art Relics" to collect and preserve Taiwan's early folk artifacts. The Aboriginal art was renamed the Beitou Cultural Relics Museum. In September 1998, the Beitou Cultural Relics Museum became a historic monument. In 2002, due to the need for renovation of the Beitou Cultural Relics Museum, it was temporarily closed and reopened on January 17, 2008. The Beitou Cultural Relics Museum has once again become a good place for holiday travel for the big Taipei people.
