National Museum of Prehistory

The name of the Taidong Prehistoric Culture Museum seems ordinary, but its content is very rich. It is worth seeing such content with the ticket of NT$80. The whole museum has a clear and orderly tour line. It begins to describe the changes of nature, the migration of animals, the distribution of plants, and the birth of human prehistoric culture from the strata movement shaping the island of Taitung Bay tens of millions of years ago. The recent special exhibition describes the story of the Dutch occupation of Taiwan to the East before the Ming Dynasty, and so on. It is a very unique perspective to lead us to understand the development of Taiwan Island and the original inhabitants in a more objective and scientific way. This time we spent 1.5 hours, in fact, relatively fast browsing before we finished, I highly recommend you to come here to visit. Although there are not many people, the content of the museum is not inferior to many other museums in Taipei. It will be amazed that the content arrangement of the museum is quite deep.

Taitung is awesome because of this museum. The theme of the museum sounds stiff and boring, but every Taitung native strongly recommends it. The Peinan Museum shows the life of the Peinan people who lived here in prehistoric times. It is the earliest human being found in Taiwan. When the staff of the Peinan Museum saw me carrying such a big bag, they felt that I was allowed to go in and rest, blow the air, and then let me put my bag in their place and then stroll around, very enthusiastic Taidong people. The back hill overlooks the panoramic view of Taitung and the shadowy Green Island in the distance. As a whole, Taitung, like Hualien, is a small city with no high-rise buildings. It is adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. Taitung is known by Taiwanese as the slowest city in Taiwan, but this time it is impossible to appreciate the slow pace of Taitung.
