Photos of Mifuneyama Rakuen

At the western foot of Mifune Mountain in Takeo City, there is a vast Mifuneyama Paradise. According to legend, it was a garden built by the 28th lord of the Takeo Domain for three years in order to build a villa. Yuchuan Mountain got its name because it looks like a sea ship in the Tang Dynasty. Mifuneyama Land is a great place to enjoy flowers and autumn leaves. Every spring, more than 2,000 cherry blossoms and more than 200,000 rhododendrons bloom together. When in full bloom, it resembles a large carpet of rhododendrons. With the Mifuneyama cliff as the background, the scenery is magnificent. A flower festival is held here every spring, with cherry blossoms in March, azaleas and wisteria in April. The autumn leaves are also a superb view. During the autumn leaves festival from early November to early December, there is a large-scale night maple lighting event in Japan, and the atmosphere is dreamy.
