Tampa Convention Center

The Tampa Convention Center is also a major convention center in downtown Tampa. It is located next to the Hillsborough Estuary. The Tampa Convention Center was built on the historic site of Fort Brook, the original American outpost built in Tampa Bay in 1824, which was retired by the US Army in 1883 and then built the current convention center hall, so the building itself has a certain sense of history. The Convention and Exhibition Centre opened to the public in October 1990.
