The glass, aluminum, and steel main entrance known as “The Crystal” is often ranked among one of the stranger-looking buildings in North America. The exterior of R.O.M. is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to unique and interesting things to see here. Whether it’s world cultures or natural history that piques your interest; the multi-tasking museum has prehistoric mammalian fossils and ancient artifacts from around the world included in its forty galleries which contain a total of over six million items. There are hands on galleries and temporary exhibits as well. A full day can easily be spent here and you needn’t even leave for meals. There are three different dining options within the complex to choose from.
