Cool piazza with good bars. A bit away from the center, which makes it ideal.
meeting point of all students and local people for all its bars, osterias and pubs
This square is a lovely place to grab a drink or dinner. The restaurant owners and waiters are very welcoming and the food is good.
My favourite square in Venice. It has such a great atmosphere. Grab your pizza from Pizza Al Volo then sit by the the fountain to eat it.
Where the cool kids hang out and make music. Nice restaurants around
Even though the nightlife in Venice is pretty poor, and where everything closes at 1:00 am, campo Santa Marghertia still offers a nice courtyard surrounded with bars and drinks. College folks and young students are the main audience here where they still gathered till 2:00-3:00 here with 'Spritz' in hand (local speciality drink even if the bars closed already.
If you're going to Venice at mid September it's perfect! Local life is just coming back to Venice. So go for a Spritz (an aperitif) in Campo Santa Margherita, and enjoy getting to know people that live there. Young life is there, driven by the fun of the many students living in the city.
The student Campo, this is where the late night scene happens in Venice and it has a fun and enegetic vibe. Right next to Dorsuduro, campo santa margherita is centrally located, but slightly off the beaten path and it's less touristy than the better-known areas. I've heard the neighborhood is getting increasingly dodgy, but hopefully that's a myth.
