Fengshanjiucheng Kongmiao Chongsheng Temple

There was no Confucian temple in Fengshan County in the early days. In the 23rd year of Kangxi (1686), the magistrate Yang Fangsheng set up a Confucian Temple in Xinglongzhuang, and Minglun Hall was set up outside the old city of Zuoying. It was the education center of Fengshan County at that time. The temple is located in the old city primary school. There is a lotus pond in front, Dagu Mountain and Banping Mountain in the distance, and Turtle Mountain and Snake Mountain in the vicinity. It is a treasure land of outstanding people. The county magistrates Song Yongqing and Li Piyu were renovated respectively in the 43rd year of Kangxi (1704) and the 58th year of Kangxi (1719), and the county magistrate Wu Shiyuan rebuilt it again in the 17th year of Qianlong (1752). People built the "Old City Public School" in the temple, which is now the Old City Primary School. The original temple appearance was once again damaged. At present, only the "Chongsheng Temple" and the eleven square stone tablets collected from nearby places remain. Chongsheng Temple still retains the "three links and five melons" style roof truss of the former Qing Dynasty. There are dragon-shaped pottery dolls and Qing Dynasty gourd ridge decorations on the roof. .
