Victoria Clock Tower

The bell is located in the heart of the Seychelles capital Victoria. It was built in 1903 to celebrate the official declaration of Seychelles as a direct Crown colony. The tower is about 5 meters high. Opposite it is the only traffic light in Seychelles.

On Victorian streets, crafts carved from sea coconuts and shells are a local feature, with a cluster of milky buildings covered in green trees. A clock tower built in 1903 stands in the city center. Independence Street, the main street, has a large sculpture of three black, yellow and white seagulls, which symbolizes the Creoles' history of crossing the sea from Europe, Asia and Africa more than 200 years ago. Today, the Africans, Madagascars, Europeans, Chinese, Malays and Indian descendants of the island have long been married, and Victoria City has formed a unique multi-ethnic urban style.

The Victoria Bell Tower is a landmark in Victoria's heart of the city. This tower, which witnessed the colonial history of Seychelles, was given by the UK in 1903 (the year Seychelles became a British colony). It is a miniature replica of the Big Ben in London, and is known as the "Little Ben".
