The Black Mountain Square on the Ring Road has the Schwarzenberg Monument built to commemorate the victory over Napoleon. The most prominent building on the opposite square is the monument to the Soviet hero, built in 1949, which is an important symbol of Austria's victory against Nazi Germany and Hitler. The red flags and gunned-down Red Army soldiers displayed a distinct communist feature, and the monument reads: "For the liberation of Europe, the Red Army soldiers who died on the battlefield of anti-fascist robbers will live forever!"

Vienna Black Mountain Square is located in the southeast corner of the circle kilometer, near the location of the Golden Hall. All grapes will be brewed together into a Vienna specialty wine Wiener Gemischter Satz "Vienna Mixed Wine" in about 50 bottles. These wine parties are auctioned at the annual Licht ins Dunkel "Bring Light to Darkness" charity event held before Christmas. If you came to Vienna in October, you might see the mayor busy working in the grape field.

I admire the Austrians for facing up to history without demolishing the monument because the Soviet Union withdrew in 1955. Austria has accepted the wrong lessons of history and is now a neutral country with peace and happiness for its people.
