About The Former Site of the Wuhan National Government

Located by the Liudu Bridge on the Zhongshan Road of Hankou, next to the People’s Park, the Nanyang Building is a historic building as the former site of the Wuhan National Government. From January 1st, 1927 to September 20th of the same year, it served as the office of the Wuhan National Government. It was in this building that the National Government made the decision to retrieve the British concessions in Hankou and Jiujiang. On the third floor of the memorial hall, one can view restored offices and the meeting venue of the third session of the Second Congress of the Nationalist Party. On the wall of the venue hang the photo of Sun Yat-sen and a plaque bearing the words of his will, by the sight of which one may savor the historical setting of the past.
