About Wuhu County: Wuhu County is located in the southeast of Anhui Province, on the southern bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Historical sites in the region include Chuwangcheng, Jiushi Hall from the Southern Tang dynasty, the Dongmendu Royal Kiln from the Northern Song dynasty, and the Henglang Pagoda from the Southern Song dynasty. During the Qing dynasty, Wuhu was known as one of the great rice cities together with Jiujiang, Wuxi, and Changsha. Famous attractions include the Henglang Ancient Pagoda, Mao’ertan, the ruins of Chuwangcheng, Taoxin Waterside, and Guanghang Village.
