American Falls is one of the three Niagara Falls, the largest of which is Horseshoe Falls, which spans the international border between Canada and the United States. The smaller American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls are located within the United States. The Bride's Veil Falls are separated from the Horseshoe Falls of Goat Island and the American Falls of Moonshoe Island, both of which are located in New York State.
