Now, it's a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit and a national 2A-level tourist attraction. The tomb of Yang Guifei was originally a soil grave. According to legend, the seal on the tomb smells pleasant, so it was called "Royal powder." Women nearby came to collect it, and even foreign tourists took packages of tomb soil home, making the tomb pile smaller and smaller. Although tomb guards continued to add soil to the tomb pile, it was depleted. So, to protect the grave, the tomb guards had to seal it with green bricks.
