The ancient fort located in Chiwan, Shekou, Shenzhen, is an important component of the Qing Dynasty sea defense, the witness of the Opium War, and now the original site has been repaired. Tourists can visit it for free. There are three stone monuments in the scenic area to record the history of the fort in detail.
Chiwan Fort is one of the military fortresses built on the coast of the Qing Dynasty, and the only one retained in Shenzhen. It is now a municipal cultural relics protection unit. The site is well preserved and there is an iron gun.
