Dapeng Peninsula Geopark

The Dapeng Peninsula, where the Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula National Geopark is located, is on Daya Bay to the east, bordering Huizhou, Dapeng Bay to the west, and the South China Sea to the south, and the shortest distance from Pingzhou, Hong Kong is3.704 kilometers. The Dapeng Peninsula National Geopark in Shenzhen, Guangdong is located in the east of Shenzhen, about 501cm from Shenzhen city, and the west is across the sea from Hong Kong. In August 2005, the Ministry of Land and Resources approved it as the fourth batch of national geoparks. It is a geological park characterized by Mesozoic ancient volcanoes and sea erosion and sea accumulation landscape.

Dapeng Peninsula Geopark features nature hiking tracks and a geology museum. It is located nearby Dapeng New District, Shenzhen and Open Hours are Tuesday – Friday 9:30-16:00; Saturday and Sunday 9:30-17:00, but as heard it is not open on Monday.
