Relaxing weekend staycation, lovely palm tree lined boulevard, great photo opportunities. #Yantian Shenzhen Getting There - Easy to get there by taxi or metro, on line 2, Haishan Exit A1, 700m walk to the hotel. Attractions - boardwalk is lovely, breathe in the fresh air and smell of the sea. Lighthouse library is so cute, it saved me from a sudden downpour. It has a lovely spiral staircase with mostly local books. Hotels - Yantian Hyatt Hotel, stunning place. It’s a newish hotel with all the facilities, reception is in the 31st floor featuring a nice coffee/afternoon tea lounge. All rooms are on the 32nd floor and above so the views from the rooms are great. Food & Restaurants - 1008 restaurant facing the sea is lovely, they have a variety of local and western dishes. Lovely place to sip a coffee and people watch. Many other restaurants to choose from too. Shopping - Mall adjacent to hotel with all the brands you expect. Shenzhen has several greenways that you can walk, offering long streches of scenery, greenery and a good option for exercise But one of my favourites, in fact one of my favourite places to go in SZ at all, is the coastal walk in Yantian. Now with line 8 opening this is easier than ever to get to. This is divided into many parts and sometimes you need to go up onto the sidewalk and then back down to the walkway. You can get some awesome ocean views and its a good option to get some fresh air and relaxation Part one goes from beizaijiao beach to Xiaomeisha beach. This is maybe the best section of all. You can see a mini lighthouse, this is as far left as you can go. Right leads you towards Xiaomeisha and you can see some beautiful rocks and awesome views Part 2 Part two is Xiaomeisha to Dameisha. This is a renovated walkway after the previous one was destroyed in the typhoon of 2018. You enter JUST before the start of Xiaomeisha. Look for a set of stairs going down It ends at Dameisha beach where you can relax, or get a bus/taxi to wherever you want to go Directions Walkway One Get a didi or taxi to Beizaijaio bus stop. It can be found easily on didi English. The walkway starts here Walkway Two Xiao Meisha Scenic Area, Yantian Distrcit 深圳市盐田区小梅沙景区 Take line 8 to last stop then get these buses or a short taxi 1. Take bus 103/380a/380b/387 and get off at Xiaomeisha Bus Terminal (Xiaomeisha Gongjiao Zongzhan) Station. 2. Take bus m207/m362 and get off at Xiaomeisha Station. Yantian District Coastal Walkway, is a 20km walk beginning from Yantian street food market. We were positioned at 10km from the end point. Its the worlds largest coastal walkway so it is a must to have a nice walk. It’s important to consider the weather, too cold it’s windy, too hot is too hot as it can be overwhelming. We went at the right time, not a lot of people, easy breeze and cool weather. You get the chance too see Dameisha until passing through Xiaomeisha. I would suggest allowing 6-8 hours of your day depending on whom your with, the pace you’d like to go etc. You are also able to hire bikes with a deposit of 200 Yuan. The app takes around 3-5 minutes too set up, I had to get my Chinese partner to do it since it wasn’t working for me. We walked all the way and then rode a bike back down. The water is super clean, air is fresh and it’s very great for your mind and heart to feel free. The Yantian Seaview Park is simply too beautiful, where the sea perfectly reflects the color of the sky, as if the blue of the sky has melted into the ocean, blending sea and sky into one, like a gentle sapphire that intoxicates the heart. The Seaview Park is located at the starting point of the Yantian Seaside Promenade, which is very clean and beautiful, making it a perfect place to bring family and friends or to meet up with a few close ones, to take a stroll while enjoying the sea breeze and the view, offering a truly healing experience! The Lighthouse Library is right inside the park, and next to it is the Yihai City, where dining, coffee, and shopping are all very convenient. This boardwalk is 19.5 kilometers long and consists of three hiking routes: the Chung Ying Street section, the Yantian Port section, and the Dameisha and Xiaomeisha Back Pigeon Corner section. It passes through three characteristic libraries and is known as the most beautiful seaside jade belt. 🌟 Highlights: Most people choose to start from Yantian Seafood Street (Yantian Port section) for hiking, passing through Dameisha and Xiaomeisha, and finally reaching the Back Pigeon Lighthouse at the end, with a total length of 12.5km. Along the way, there are the most beautiful boardwalks, the sea, waves, blue sky, white clouds, seabirds, shells, fishing, camping... Speaking of the seaside promenade, there are many in Guangdong Province, but today I'm talking about the one in Yantian District, Shenzhen. It stretches for 19.5 kilometers. Starting from the ancient tower park at Chung Ying Street in the west, it follows the golden coastline, connecting Shatoujiao, Yantian Port, Dameisha, and ends at Back Corner in the east. It is said that it was once destroyed by a typhoon, but it has been repaired now, yet I still can't find anything novel about it. Moreover, the sea here is not blue, but dark and shiny with dirt, and there is no sea breeze blowing. Is this still the sea? There are few ships on the sea, a few coast guard boats are docked at the shore, and the container terminal is clearly visible. The opposite island is green, but no trace of human habitation can be seen on the peninsula. What's even more speechless is that the once CITIC Minsk aircraft carrier is no longer in sight, making the trip in vain. It seems that the aircraft carrier has probably gone there for maintenance again at a loss... This promenade is actually claimed to be one of the most beautiful walking routes in Shenzhen! I don't think so. Although I only walked the Yantian section~ Of course, it might be different when the lights are on at night. Architectural Features The reconstruction project of the Yantian District seaside promenade is estimated to have a total investment of about 350 million yuan. The project mainly uses pile foundation structures, which fundamentally enhances the wind and wave resistance of the entire promenade, capable of withstanding typhoons of level 15 or above. The reconstruction project of the seaside promenade adheres to the principles of 'protecting the ecology, unifying coordination, and full-line penetration', mainly including the repair and reconstruction of the promenade (along the port section, seafood street section, Dameisha section, Xiaomeisha section, and Back Corner section) and the landscape enhancement of the entire greenway. Among them, the seafood street section, Dameisha section, and Xiaomeisha section are the overall reconstruction sections, with a length of 2803 meters, and the Back Corner section is the repair section, with a length of 1953 meters. After the upgrade and renovation, the seaside promenade is equipped with night lights throughout, with more than 2100 LED photocontrol lights installed in the Dameisha and Xiaomeisha sections, which can maintain lighting for one night even in the rain, and can maintain lighting for 6 hours during continuous rainy days. These solar panels are mainly installed on the railings of the promenade, automatically turning on and off from 7:30 pm to 6 am every night. At the intersection of the seaside promenade and Yantian Greenway, there are also 3 large stations built, providing basic services such as drinking water, charging, and rest for citizens and tourists. Each station also has an automatic reading library with an area of no less than 80 square meters. The eastern end of the Yantian seaside promenade is Back Corner. When planning the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in the 1980s, Back Corner was the easternmost starting point, so it was called 'the end of Shenzhen'. But there is a cemetery there, not recommended to visit and unattended. Many tourists say that place is very eerie and gloomy, but there is a red lighthouse that attracts people... It is located in Yantian District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, extending along the golden coastline. There are different varieties of trees and flowers next to it, which are interesting with the blue sky, white clouds, and blue waves, forming a beautiful coastal scenery. This is a secluded choice for enjoying the sea view. The starting point of Zhongying Street Coastal Walkway is Zhongying Street Ancient Tower Park, which is a park in the style of the Song Dynasty. There are Guanhai Pavilion, Tingtao Pavilion, and ancient towers in the park. The three are staggered in height and look at each other. The pavilions in the park are staggered, with winding paths leading to secluded places. There is a wide rest space in the center, with rugged rocks and well-arranged trees on both sides, full of vitality. Walking along the Zhongying Street Coastal Walkway, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea on one side and the mountain on the other. One of the most beautiful sights you will ever see in Shenzhen, guaranteed. Once you arrive, you will automatically feel the ambiance of relaxation around you.From the deck you will see the islands of mountains that is apart of Hong Kong.
