Wang's Xiaoyuan was the residence of the salt merchants in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. The owner of the house, Wang Zhuming, was originally an Huizhou merchant, so here you can enjoy the architectural style of the combination of the three carvings of Huizhou and Jiangnan gardens. The integration of Western-style furniture is another feature. In addition, you can explore the secrets of salt merchants, find treasure caves, basements and many other organs. Wang's Court is located in the Dongquanmen Historic District, which is parallel to and not far from Dongguan Street. It is said that there is a garden in Dongguan Street, and there is Wang's Garden at the East Circle Gate. However, there is not a garden with many people in Wang's Garden, which is suitable for tourists who like tranquility. The gate of Xiaoyuan is simple and unpretentious, but once you enter it, it is different. First of all, I saw a beautiful brick-carved Buddhist shrine embedded on the wall facing us. Then I turned to the right, and it was a small garden. The pebbles on the ground made up various patterns that imply happiness, longevity and well-being. From April to May, I went to Yangzhou to enjoy Qionghua flowers. It's a good time, and there is a hundred-year-old Qionghua in the garden. Behind the small garden is the main building of Wang's Xiaoyuan, which is arranged in a nine-square grid. The Shude Hall in the first row is the room for receiving guests. Between the 6 "grids" on the left and the 3 "grids" on the right of the "Jiugongge" is a north-south alley of fire. The long and narrow masonry alley gives people a deep feeling of a courtyard, and tourists love to take pictures here. The buildings on the East Road are quite special. Wang Zhuming’s eldest son, Wang Taijie, led three younger brothers to renovate it, and it has the characteristics of combining Chinese and Western styles. The first room on East Road, Chunhui Room, has German chandeliers. The room behind Chunhui Room has sliding doors and sliding glass windows. In summer, the glass can be removed and replaced with screen windows. If you look around carefully, you can also find a treasure hole 1.5 meters deep under the wooden floor of a wing room. Turning right out of East Road is the kitchen. From the five cauldrons, you can see the prosperity of the Wang family at that time. Out of the kitchen is the back garden. There is a well in the east garden of "Xiaoyuan Chunshen", and there is a servant's room at the back. The bathroom to the west of the servant's room is covered with Western-style tiles, and the bathtub is imported from France. There is a basement for the owner to hide in the west garden of "Xiaoyuan Chunshen". The study in the north of the garden is equipped with western-style stained glass windows, and a secret door is hidden behind the mirror in the northwest corner of the room. Visitors can be seen directly from Huoxiang, which is directly opposite to the study. If there is danger, the owner can escape from various organs. After you have seen the sedan chairs at the west end of the West Garden of "Xiaoyuan Chunshen", you can turn back from the west road of the main building, and visit Xiazhong Road. Walk from the boat hall to the small garden "Kexixiu" in the southwest corner of Wang's Xiaoyuan. Like all gardens in the south of the Yangtze River, the garden is dotted with rockeries. After such a circle, the entire Wang's Xiaoyuan is almost visited. If you go out from the back door of "Xiaoyuan Chunshen" in the back garden of Wang's Xiaoyuan, it is the Yangzhou Paper-cutting Museum, which does not belong to Wang's Xiaoyuan, but you can visit it if you are interested.
Wang's small garden in the East Circle Gate historical district, because the original owner's surname Wang, the residence is mainly, the garden is complementary, the garden area is not large, so it is called Wang's small garden. The layout of the small garden house is neat, the decoration is exquisite, the courtyard is exquisite and exquisite, and the cultural heritage is rich. It is one of the most complete salt merchant houses in the late Qing Dynasty and early Minchu in Yangzhou.
Wang's small garden is exquisite and exquisite: the front and back of the hall open "can live", "small garden spring deep", "welcome" small garden, so that the residential garden is rubbed into one, twists and turns. The decoration is exquisite: wood carving, brick carving, stone carving and decoration, wall, ground cleverly combined, and the intersection.
Wang's small garden is located in the east of the East Quanmen Historical District of Yangzhou City, No. 14, "Diguandi", because the owner's surname is Wang, the main residence, the garden is complementary, the garden area is not large, so it is called Wang's small garden. The ventilation and lighting are sufficient, the vertical and horizontal interconnection, and the internal and external separation is free. It is one of the traditional pattern forms of Yangzhou's big house gate.
Very good experience, I went to the whole small garden this afternoon except for the conductor. I was the only one. It was very clean. I liked it very much.
A small historical courtyard, passing through, aftertaste the long story, based on today's current affairs. It is worth savoring with heart.
Wang's small garden is arranged in groups, scattered and well-structured. Xiaoyuan is divided into three roads and is parallel, respectively, three large courtyards. The courtyards are separated by narrow lanes. Not too far away, there are small doors that interoperate. The doors are opened as a family, and the closed is independent. The vertical and horizontal are connected and open and close. The benefits of the interlocking road are fire prevention and quietness if necessary. Each courtyard is extended into three inwards, plus the compartments on both sides of each main house, and becomes a separate small courtyard. The front and back doors connect each into the courtyard in series, no need to count, although the house is as many as 100, but it will not be maze-like terrain complex. Interestingly, the main house is all central axis through, left and right symmetrical, presumably affected by the middle of Huizhou Confucianism. In between, there is a side corridor next to the hall, and there is an ear room behind the hall. All houses are odd combinations, reflecting the orderly dignity and orderliness, men and women have other feudal ethical ideas and mysterious feng shui consciousness, which can be a model for the integration of Huishang ideas and Yangzhou culture. The sparse and Lang Lang house is potted plants, peony, sky, sweet-scented osmanthus, pine bamboo plums, most of them quietly stand, suddenly return to the old house in the countryside of Huizhou, away from the water and moon in Yangzhou, and more heavy and simple.
