The hill where the cannon was installed is called Lushan. The fort was built in the late Qing Dynasty in 1894. It has a history of 123 years. At that time, it cost 1 million yuan. It is one of the most complete sea defense facilities in China. Li Hongzhang said that "the general trend of the Bohai Sea, the capital of Beijing as the gateway, with Lushun and Yantai as the key", and said that the Shandong coastal repairing platform, especially Yantai is the most important. The Krupp cannon in Germany was the most advanced rear cannon at that time. The appearance was very powerful. The gun body can be rotated 360 degrees. The barrel can be tilted 30 degrees and the range is 20 miles. The outside of the city wall is the vast sea. The sea here is crystal clear and has a faint blue color. There is a seal bay next to it, and there are more than 100 sea animals such as breeding seals and sea lions.
