Half Moon Bay, also known as Moon Bay, was called Beikou in ancient times. It is located in the northern part of North Changshan Island. It is about 1 km long. It is like a crescent moon. It stretches out on the hill, hugs water and lies in the water. The mountains are dripping with green, the sea is green, and the balls are colorful. . In the late 1950s, the garrison built a shooting range here, which was named Half Moon Bay according to the shape of the bay. In 1979, Ye Jianying, the deputy seat, wrote a seven-character quatrain for this bay: "In the Crescent Bay of Changshan Island, the diligent fishermen and farmers merged with stone fields, the high-priced stone balls are splendid, and women and children would not regret their fingers." Therefore, it is also called Crescent Bay.
