Amazing Spring in Kyoto
Experienced Spring in Kyoto and it was amazing! we went during this season to view cherry blossoms and we were not disappointed. The beautiful blooms were everywhere and Philosopher's Path deserves a 👍. There's not much crowd on that morning we were there. The trees lined the river and pathways perfectly as you can see here. Along the way, there's small cafes, shops and small temples/shrines. You might want to take slow strolls along this path, about 1-2 hours to finish the whole stretch, and take in the scenery.

I’ve always wanted to go here even the first time I heared the name “Philosopher’s path”. And it never dissapointed me. This path follows a canal which is lined by hundreds of cherry and mapple trees. Approximately two kilometers long, the path begins around Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion) and ends in the neighborhood of Nanzenji. The Philosopher’s Path, or Walk, is a great place to visit all year round, as the scenery offers something unique for every season. During autumn season it offer the chance for reflection, the leaves invite a more zen appreciation, often lost in the merriment of spring’s hanami. Philosopher’s Path gives you a chance to unwind and explore a different side of Kyoto, with added seasonal treats.

Kyoto is renowned for its plethora of ancient shrines and temples, attracting millions of visitors to its hallowed grounds year-round. As spring arrives, these architectural marvels are transformed into a mesmerizing sight, enveloped by delicate pastel-pink cherry blossoms. To capture the most stunning sakura moments, take a leisurely stroll along the iconic 'Philosopher's Walk' (Tetsugaku no Michi), a charming pedestrian route flanking a serene canal adorned with hundreds of cherry trees. This picturesque path runs between the esteemed Ginkakuji Temple, famously known as the Silver Pavilion, and the majestic Nanzenji Temple, offering a serene ambiance with numerous shrines and temples adorned in soft pink hues.

Saho River Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Nara's Saho River Sakura 🌸 A lesser-known spot for cherry blossom viewing, but a huge and beautiful area!
Cherry blossom season, want to admire the cherry blossoms without taking too many photos with crowds of people? Then Nara's Saho River is the place to go! While you're there, you can also see the deer in Nara, Nara Prefecture .
It's a riverbank with a large area of cherry blossoms. It's relatively close to JR Nara Station, but quite far from Kintetsu Nara and Nara Park, about 20 minutes away. When planning your itinerary, be sure to check the time!
Navigation to Zohokawa Sakura is possible, it seems to be really famous, there is even a separate landmark on Google. There are a lot of cherry blossoms on the entire bank or riverbank along the river! Keep walking to the residential area, there are a lot of cherry blossoms on the stone road, super beautiful!! And there are very few people, mostly nearby residents, it's nice to take pictures or quietly enjoy the cherry blossoms!
Recommendation rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
📍Location: Navigate to "Sakura of Zohokawa"

Otokoyama Observatory Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Kyoto, an absolute culinary delight
Japanese food is already a delight on its own but Kyoto has to be the best prefecture for food in Japan. 🇯🇵 Home to seven 3-star michelin restaurants, Kyoto houses the 3rd most number of michelin restaurants in a city. 🤩
Try the best A5 wagyu you will ever taste (hint: it’s not Kobe). 🤫 It’s called Matsusaka and it’s such a rarity that it is harder to procure than Kobe beef. 🤤
Besides food, Kyoto is a wonderful mix of modern and tradition, with lovely sightseeing locations full of Japanese culture spread around the city. Perhaps the most famous would be the geishas in Gion. 🎎 🏯🎍
Lots of opportunities to hike as well, with arashiyama and otokoyama surrounding the city. 🥾
