About YongCheng: Located on the eastern edge of Henan, Yongcheng is the Henan city nearest to the river’s outlet to the ocean. Its northern section contains Mangdang Mountain, which has plenty of Han dynasty cultural sites, including the Han Liang King Tombs (the tombs of the vassal Liang kings); Kongfuzi Biyu Chu (孔夫子避雨处 - a site where Confucius and his disciples were said to have sheltered from the rain); the tomb of Chen Sheng; and the stockade of the famous general Zhang Fei. In the south you can find the Zaolütai (“Platform of Law Creation”) and Wangyoufang (王油坊 - “Royal Oil Mill”) archaeological sites. Yongcheng also has a number of bases for education in the revolutionary tradition, such as the Huaihai Campaign Memorial Hall.
