Lovely building
King's Manor is a lovely building but wasn't open at the time I visited early in the morning. It was originally the Abbots House. It served as a seat of government for the Tudors and Stuart.

Rightly described as a 'hidden gem' and probably missed by most visitors. Worth a look around, even if one set of modern brick and concrete building are ugly.
Visited the Refectory cafe inside the Kings Manor complex, it's well signposted. A great place for coffees and scones at very modest cost. Highly recommended.
