About Yuzhou: Yuzhou City is located in central Henan Province. It has been called the capital city of ancient China. It is famous for its porcelain Jun ware, its culture of the mythical emperor Yu the Great, and traditional Chinese medicine. Historically, this is where the capital of the Xia dynasty, China’s first slavery-based dynasty, was founded. It is also the only site of production of porcelain Jun ware, one of China’s “five famous porcelains.” It was also one of the four major distribution centers for Chinese medicine ingredients during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1912). It has been known as the “Xia Capital,” the “Porcelain Capital,” and the “Medicine Capital.”
