The Zagreb Cathedral is a medieval architectural structure located in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, and is one of the city's landmarks. Known as one of the largest cathedrals in Croatia, it is also referred to as the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
You can see a golden statue of the Virgin Mary at the entrance.
The Zagreb Cathedral was built between the 13th and 15th centuries, featuring characteristics of Gothic and Renaissance styles. This cathedral is famous for its beautiful, ornate stained glass windows and stone-carved decorations.

Museum of Broken Relationships Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Museum of Broken Relationships
Every trip I have, I always seem to end up in a museum so I’ve decided to start making it to the unique versions of museums instead.
Museum of broken relationships is funny, cute and a rollercoaster of emotions. There are pieces of relationships that have broken down, ones where members have passed away and some that relate to family members. Each piece has a story and you should make sure to read each story as no two are the same.
Entrance fee is €7 and you can use a translated guide to read the stories unless English or Croatian are your main language.

Mirogoj cemetery Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Mirogoj Graveyard
What a great way to celebrate Halloween or in Croatia All Saints’ Day than to go to north Zagreb at the foots of the Medvenica mountain and check out the Mirogoj cemetery. This amazing attraction was built in the Austrian Hungarian empire with huge brick walls and stunning baroque architecture. the mausoleums of prominent Zagreb aristocracy are scattered around and the forests in the background sets a tranquil and mellow ambiance.
The best time to head out is in autumn when the leaves change colour and the fog sets in. make sure not to stay too long because as the sun sets. the fog gets heavier and heavier.

A beautiful cemetery to see.
#2024wish
Nestled in the heart of Zagreb, Mirogoj cemetery is a serene haven where time seems to stand still. As I strolled through its enchanting pathways, I marveled at the majestic arcades and elaborate tombs adorned with intricate sculptures. The tranquil atmosphere and meticulously manicured gardens created a sense of peaceful reflection.
Surrounded by cypress trees and adorned with grandiose monuments, Mirogoj transcends its role as a cemetery, transforming into a place of profound beauty. The interplay of light and shadow added an ethereal touch, casting a quiet reverence upon the surroundings. It's not just a final resting place; Mirogoj is a living testament to Zagreb's history and a haven for contemplation amidst nature's timeless embrace.
In 2024, I wish to visit Paro.
Why visiting a historical cemetery?
Visiting a cemetery is a way of paying respect and honoring the memory of our loved ones who have passed away.
Cemeteries also provide a place of reflection and contemplation, where we can think about the meaning of life and the inevitability of death. They can be a source of comfort and solace, helping us to come to terms with our grief, and reminding us that we are not alone in our sorrow.
Moreover, cemeteries often have historical and cultural significance, as they contain the final resting places of prominent individuals or groups. They can also be beautiful and peaceful places, with well-manicured lawns, ornate tombstones, and impressive architecture.
Overall, visiting a cemetery can be a meaningful and important experience, helping us to connect with our past, reflect on our present, and find hope for the future.
