Laowuchang is an expansive tableland to the west of Tianzi Mountain in the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. The idyllic scenery of the peak is unique. Main attractions include the sky garden and the Yuanyang Waterfall. The sky garden is in the west of the Laowuchang scenic area. Below lies the a deep and secluded valley. The valley’s verdant, terraced fields give it a pastoral air. Shrouded in mist, it resembles an ancient Chinese landscape painting. The Yuanyang Waterfall is on the southwest side of the Laowuchang scenic area. It plummets more than 100 meters from stone cliffs. Stones in the middle divide the waterfall into two, giving it its name, Yuanyang, meaning an affectionate couple.
