Museum of Chinese National Music

The China National Music Museum is located in the Canal Park of Wuxi City, with a construction area of nearly 4,000 square meters. It integrates the functions of display, collection, research, and performance. The exhibition is divided into five sections. The first section "Eternal Voices", in the order of the times, introduces important musical phenomena in various periods of ancient Chinese music by presenting important musical cultural relics; The presentation of folk music, including Jiangnan Sizhu, Wuxi folk songs, Taoist music, Wuxi rap, etc.; the third section "Folk Music Master" is the introduction of Wuxi musicians, including A Bing, Liu Tianhua, Yang Yinliu, Wang Xin, Qian Renkang, etc. Nearly 30 modern musicians who are well-known at home and abroad; the fourth section "National Style Millennium" is an exhibition of Chinese music and opera in the world-class "intangible cultural heritage", covering Kunqu Opera, Guqin art, Muqam art , Dong nationality songs, Xi'an drum music, etc.; the fifth section is the exhibition of Chinese national musical instruments. At present, the museum has a total of 969 exhibits of 574 types, including 468 pieces of 174 kinds of musical instruments, as well as a wealth of books and manuscripts, audio-visual materials, pictures, scenes, etc., which are rich in content and in various forms, which basically reflect the development history of Chinese folk music. The only comprehensive folk music museum.
