Very nice place, easy to see many animals (chameleons, lemurs, pythons), but there are uninterested "guidelines," fickle tickets, and even if they owe us 10,000 ariari (Madagascar currency), they pretend not to understand us and take the change. We know we are in a very poor country and our money is very valuable here, but we are sure they only know that every passing tourist will stay there, so they plunder as much as they can. We are sorry to say that because their idea is to support the local and the local community, which is great, but it should never be that way. Before we got there, our local driver warned us, we went to this place to know it was all true, it was really sad.

We spent an hour here, but we could have stayed longer. There was a short walk from the entrance to the lake. On the way we saw two chameleons in the bushes on the side of the road. As we approached the lake, we suddenly found a ring-tailed lemur, then another, then a whole group. Wow! They were everywhere. On the trees, on the ground, by the lake, drinking water in pairs, some eating salt with stones. This is the photographer's dream place. It would be nice to be here for a few hours and sit down and observe their behaviour. They don't care about our presence so behave naturally. It was a fantastic sight especially as this is the first time we have seen lemurs in parts of Madagascar. Beautiful!
