Chongqing Small South Sea

[Scenery] The small South China Sea after the rain is particularly fresh. The misty mountains surround the clear lake. The boulders on the shore and the lake add spirituality to the whole environment. It is highly recommended to feel it for yourself.

🔸 Minjiang Xiaonanhai National Geopark, formerly known as Xiaobohai, is located at the junction of Chongqing and Hubei, more than 20 kilometers north of Minjiang City. In the six years of Qingxianfeng (June 10, 1856), a 6.25 magnitude earthquake formed the lake, is a mountain, sea, island, gorge scenery in one of the alpine freshwater lakes, is also the most complete ancient earthquake site in China, has a history of 158 years. 🔸 Lijiang Xiaonanhai is currently temporarily closed due to water protection, but it has no impact on self-driving tours. There is no need for tickets during the closure (the original ticket is 68 yuan). All facilities in the scenic area are intact, including parking lots, plank roads, and sanitary facilities. Because it does not accept tour groups, it is more suitable for photography, but when I went, the weather was not good, the visibility was poor on rainy days. 🔸 Arrive at Xiaonanhai Haikou Dam, there is a separate road on the left, and there are two high-rise viewing spots (Phoenix Mountain Observation Deck and Fengzui Range Rover), of which Fengzui Range Rover has a wider view and a better location. The car can drive to a suspension bridge (there are a small number of parking spaces on the suspension bridge), and walk across the suspension bridge to see the panoramic view of Xiaonanhai. 🔸 After climbing the high view, the original road returns to the main road of the dam. There is a relatively standardized parking lot in Haikou Dam. After parking, you can visit the view along the lakeside plank road (earthquake road). These plank road viewing angles are good, and you can also watch the boulders that have fallen due to the earthquake at close range. 🔸 After the Haikou Dam tour, you can continue to visit along the 209 Provincial Highway by the lake. For example, there is a peninsula opposite the Haikou Dam. After parking, you can play along the plank road and enjoy Xiaonanhai from different angles... If you have time, you can continue to walk 10 kilometers along the 209 Provincial Highway and visit the "Tujia 13 Village".

Chongqing Xiaonanhai is a niche attraction, about two or thirty kilometers away from the Lijiang city, is a long time ago earthquake formed the lake. The scenery is OK, the green mountains and green waters, most of the locals who travel here, the surrounding farmhouses eat and live.
