Shimen Dafo Temple

The Shimen Giant Buddha Temple is located in Shimen Town, Jiangjin City, Chongqing. The total construction area of Dafo Temple is 720 square meters. There is a stone winding path in the east and west from the cliff to the river, which is connected to the temple. Inside the Dafo Temple is a three-sided courtyard layout, with wing rooms on the left and right, and the main hall in the middle. It is divided into Sendzi Hall, Guanyin Hall, and Thunder God Hall. The stone carving in the temple is a statue of Guanyin with a height of 13.5 meters. The main hall has a mountain-style roof with seven eaves, glazed tile roof, a treasure vase in the center, owl kisses on the wing corners, and a beam-lifting beam frame. The left and right wing rooms are of stone and wood structure, with a hard mountain-style roof, a small green tile roof, a bucket-type beam frame, and six columns and four wears. The entire mountain gate is built on the cliff, the structure is rigorous and majestic. Standing on the lotus statue of Guanyin, sitting north to south, the height is 13.5 meters, the shoulder width is 5.9 meters, and the chest thickness is 5.2 meters. The statue is exquisitely carved, delicate, with smooth lines, strong three-dimensional and aesthetic sense. The statue of Guanyin has kind eyes and kind eyes, dignified and demure, wearing a crown, and in the crown is a smiling Arhat.
