After coming up from the Shaolin Temple cableway, you will walk from the Sanhuangzhai plank road for about an hour to the overpass. After the overpass, you will have to walk for half an hour to the Sanhuangzhai. There is no cableway down the mountain from Sanhuangzhai. If you want to take the cable car, you have to return.
