The Geological Museum is a few minutes'walk from the Opera House. There are several floors of exhibitions. Each floor shows many gems and other minerals. Some of the exhibits have only some English explanations, because there are fewer visitors and only a few lighting devices are on. The museum is free.

Hilton Hotel is located in Hanoi Opera House, so it's easy to find it in the back. Located in an old-fashioned building, but most surprising to me is the display of minerals from Vietnam's large collection. The staff on duty are friendly and free of charge.
The "Volcanic Geology Museum" is empty, and only here is a video introducing Weizhou Island. In other words, the video introduction is really good, patient, sitting here watching the video introduction is actually a combination of work and leisure.
This is a special museum, mainly exhibiting geological objects. It is a very important museum in Hanoi. The Museum collects tickets, but it's very cheap. It's only 15,000 Vietnamese guilders. There are many rare articles, various ore specimens, and a lot of knowledge.
It's still a good place to have a long knowledge, but you must find a professional guide translator.
