15 minutes walk from Hitachiota station. Free admission. The building reminiscent of an old public hall was built as Ota Town Hall in 1936 and is designated as a national registered tangible cultural property. It was named "Umezu Kaikan" because it was built with a donation from Fukujiro Umezu, a businessman from Ota. The exhibition room is only on the 1st floor and the 2nd floor is a rental space, so visitors cannot enter. Excavated items from Ota Castle and materials related to Fukujiro Umezu are on display, but the number is small. Local materials ...
It is a symbolic building of Hitachiota City. There are not many exhibits, but the building itself is a cultural property. Hitachiota City is a prosperous place by Mr. Satake, and valuable materials may be exhibited at special exhibitions.
It is a building built as Ota Town Hall with donations from products that were successful in the business from Hitachi Ota in 1945. It seems that you can usually enter it for free as a museum, but when I visited, it was closed and I couldn't enter it. I only visited the retro exterior of the tiles.
JR It is located a short walk from Hitachi Ota Station. You can enter it for free. A special exhibition called "Two Hachimangu Shrines" was held. It was good to have a special exhibition closely related to the area 〇

Exhibition of Hina dolls
When I visited, there was an exhibition of Hinamatsuri. It was spectacular to see gorgeous Hina dolls lined up in a retro building.
